Baobab Lagos Outreach was successfully inaugurated on Thursday February 2nd at the Amber Residence Hotel Ikeja, Lagos
The Programme Director, Anne Lawal who formally inaugurated the team gave an overview of Baobab journey so far and its mission ahead. She also spoke about the Maputo Protocol and the need to amplify voices and demands towards the domestication of the Maputo protocol in Nigeria to ensure that all barriers to the development of women and girls in Nigeria is addressed.
Communication and Outreach Coordinator Ene Oshaba, equally gave an overview of the Outreach teams and urged members to be the voice for voiceless women and girls at the grassroots level in order to ensure that issues of women and girls are generally addressed.
Meanwhile, Lagos Outreach Coordinator, Dr Olawunmi Oni-Buraimoh expressed gratitude that the team was inaugurated while assuring that they will do their best to advocate against unfavorable norms against women and girls in their various communities.
