BAOBAB GOES LIVE ON TWITTER SPACE
Baobab hosted a Twitter Space on ‘Ending Sexual and Gender-Based Violence & Promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights with the Maputo Protocol’ to discuss the Maputo Protocol as a tool for Ending SGBV and promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights in Nigeria.

16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM 2022
Under a Joint SOAWR Anglophone West Africa Cluster Campaign, and with the theme ‘Let’s Unite to End the War on Women’s Bodies’, Baobab celebrated the 16 Days of Activism with social media campaigns aimed at promoting knowledge of the Maputo Protocol for the protection of women’s rights in Ghana, Liberia, and Nigeria, particularly promoting knowledge of articles 4 & 14 which speak to Sexual Gender-BasedViolence (SGBV) & Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR).

HIGH-LEVEL CONSULTATIVE MEETING ON THE PATHWAYS TO THE DOMESTICATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF LAWS TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN BAUCHI, BORNO, JIGAWA, KANO AND ZAMFARA STATE
This high-consultative meeting was held on the 6th of December 2022. The 16 representatives from the focal states presented an overview of the VAPP Act and the CRA in their respective states. Each state discussed the strategies implemented within their states to push for the domestication of the laws and shared success stories and challenges faced during implementation.

LAUNCH OF BAOBAB LAGOS OUTREACH TEAM
Baobab Lagos Outreach was successfully inaugurated on Thursday February 2nd at the Amber Residence Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos. The Lagos Outreach Coordinator, Dr Olawunmi Oni-Buraimoh expressed gratitude and assured that they will do their best to advocate against unfavourable norms against women and girls in their various communities.
